This bracket hanger fits over the hand shaft of the movement before you put it through the clock face. It angles back and then up so that you have a hole that you can hang the clock with.

You had one job ... and you did it, actually

The only thing to mention is that it has a depth of about 1 mm. I put it on "CONTINUOUS SWEEP, HIGH TORQUE, FOR DIALS UP TO 1/8" THICK". This + my 1/8" dial left barely enough threaded shaft to get the nut on. Mind you, it worked -- it was fine. But think about it if you try to push the boundaries, like if your dial is just a bit thicker than 1/8". You might think about going for the movement with the next longer shaft.

You are right. These hangers are made to work on our Takane mini quartz movements. Those movements have a slot molded in the front for the hanger to fit into. The continuous sweep movements don't have that slot so the hanger adds about 1/32' to the thickness that the movement has to go through.
