Jia-Hao Trigger quartz clock movement
We special ordered this movement as a cost effective replacement for the Youngtown 12888 movements that use press on hands. This trigger movement is designed to emit an electronic pulse on the hour to trigger a sound-making device. These movements are commonly used in novelty clocks that have the sound of a bird, train, or other sounds on the hour. Threaded part of hand shaft is 5/16" in diameter, 1/4" long and will go through up to 3/16" thick clock face. Shaft diameters: the hour hand mount is .20" (5.09mm), the minute hand mount is .125" (3.2mm). The total shaft length is 9/16". Case Size: 2-3/16"W x 2-3/16"H x 9/16"D.
This movement uses press on hands, our regular quartz hour and minute hands will not fit this movement because the minute hand for this one will have a round hole and will simply press on. Click here to view hands available to fit this movement.
Face and dial thickness is how thick the material is that the hand shaft goes through.
