Remember what size you need, you will enter it on the next page. Measure your mainspring width and the barrel diameter. The first part of the stock number is the mainspring width in millimeters, the second part is the barrel diameter in millimeters Example: 12x25 is 12mm wide and fits in a 25mm barrel. |

Some notes regarding suspension spring material. Measuring the thickness is usually not an accurate way of determining your suspension spring requirement. It is best to identify your clock in the 400 day repair guide. This book also has drawings of the suspension units after assembly. This is a great help as the location of the fork on the spring is critical to the proper function of the clock. Here is a brief guide of the most popular suspension spring usage:
